Origin of "Stay Frosty" and "Stay Frosty, America"

I found this line on an old blog (2003):
That's all for now. Stay frosty, America (Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that is the same *line* Max says on the debate)

In addition, there are several references to "Stay Frosty" on movies (like in Alien 2).

Any thoughts?

It's just an old pun on "Stay cool."

As far as I know, the first popular example was from Aliens, where Corporal Hicks admonishes everyone to "stay frosty but alert".
