TWD: Transferring Steam saves to Telltale on a different computer?

All right, this is...a little complicated, so I won't get into the details, but let me make a long story short.

I played the first episode of The Walking Dead on Steam, on my desktop computer. Due to a few...issues, though, it seems like I'll have to play the rest of the series on the Telltale version on my laptop.

I'd rather not replay through the whole first episode again if I can help it, so is there any way to transfer my Steam save to both a different build and computer?

Different Build on the same Computer should work out of the box.
Different Computer can work too. I just successfully tested copying the entire "My Documents\The Walking Dead" to my VMWare instance. The game was already activated in VMWare before i did that.

That's good to know it's possible. Can you give me a basic rundown on how to do it?

I don't know how detailed you need this, so i'll start at a general Level.
1. Install the TTG Build on your Laptop and activate it
2. Locate the "My Documents\The Walking Dead" Folder on your Desktop, and copy it to a USB Stick (or any other medium).
3. Replace the "My Documents\The Walking Dead" on your Laptop with the one from the Desktop
4. Try if you can Load the save games on the Laptop

Alternatively you can do 3. and 4. over the Network if you know how to.
