Figure in the distance

Hi all,

This is my first post. I love the first Episode and completed it over the weekend.

My question is; At the beginning section of the game, after blowing the policeman's head off, you notice a figure in the distance and call out to them.

What is everyones opinion of who that was?

That's a good shout, but if it was Clementine would she not mention or question you on it? It looks more like a hooded figure that just strolls away as opposed to running away as a little kid would do?

My wild guess would be that it's Michonne...

It was Clementine, an enlarged high-res screenshot already proved this, and I could not find the thread as well.

It clearly Clementine. can't you see it? there was no doubt in my mind that i was Clementine.

first time i played the game i saw Lee shout to that little girl and then she ran away, and as soon as i saw her in the tree house i was like: "Hey that the girl i saw on the hill who I/lee shouted to"

I can see how you didnt spot it, the first time i watched the leaked footage on my laptop i noticed the blob you speak of, and i could not make out anything from her (YAY CRAPPY TECHNOLOGY!) but as soon as i played it on the xbox on a screen i can be proud of (also already knowing what/who clementine is/looked like) it became apparent, maybe on your next play through it will be as easy for you too see :D

His shooting or the shooting that distracts the zombies? If its his shooting im sure she will bring it up in some form or another but with the other 'attacks' shes seen it may be a bit redundant, though my other hakfs theory is that clem shoots the gun that distracts the zombies, thats why the shots are erratic. I for one like the idea that clem is like maggie from the simpsons lol

The distraction shots seemed like they were in the distance and not coming from the treehouse. that's assuming Clementine was in the treehouse at that time.

Well, she runs off to the right after being spotted, so I think she manages to sneak into her backyard via the gate or through the house, then go into her treehouse.

Yeah, come on dude, that shadowy, barely visible figure was obviously Clem. What are you blind?!? But actually, someone did a very high rez up close view and it was clearly Clem. My question is, how did she get over the fence? I didn't see a gate or anything.

I'd buy a game involving the hunt for SlenderMan you have to piece together clues and deal with blackouts investigating darkened houses and the woods.

It's definitely Clementine. The photo should be enough proof. But, if you're not convinced by that, after jumping the fence go interact with the tree house before entering the home. Lee will shout asking if anyone is there. Clementine doesn't respond, but if you keep pushing X he makes the comment that he saw a little girl in the forest.

Maybe it wasn't clementine, maybe Lee hallucinated it after the crash. Although that doesn't explain why the hallucination was of Clementine.

... Were you playing the game on a netbook or something? It was absolutely obvious - but I am playing it on a PS3 and a 52'' TV, might be why. But people aren't unfair when they're expecting you to see it - it is obvious. Very obvious.

However, if you're not convinced (and I can't believe we're even still having this discussion):

This was a very good question, because when I first played through, I wasn't paying attention. I assumed it was a walker, and by shouting at it, I attracted all the others. I had no idea it was clem until my 3rd or 4th playthrough.

No need to be rude about it, guys. Some people don't catch things as fast as others, I shouldn't be expected to if I find it unimportant and not worth paying attention to.

On my first playthrough I assumed it was a woman who heard the gun shot from when you took out the zombie cop, and after you shouted at her she ran off since she was terrified or whatnot. It didn't even register for me that it was Clemintine until I saw it discussed here in the forums. Even then I was still a little skeptical, but after interacting with the tree house on my like 5th or 6th playthrough I realized that it really was Clemintine. That's why I posted my findings since I didn't see anyone mention the tree house as evidence for the mysterious figure being her. And, I'm still noticing things on my multipe playthroughs that I'd missed in the previous ones, so no worries about not catching things right away. :)

If you walk up to the tree house and shout up a couple of times lee says something about him assuming that little girl he saw was hiding in there. or something along them lines. So yet another reason its defo Clem.

I don't think it really clicked with me that it was Clementine the first time I played, because I didn't know what she looked like. On the second go, it was obvious.
