TWD: Game restarted bug

Early in the game, at the farm, I enterted the menu and clicked settings, then the game just restarted, pressing anything in the menu restarted the game and loading my save, restarted the game.

Is this a known bug and can I avoid doing it again? :(

this just happened to me except i was futher in the game and now i have to restart all the way over and its a real buzzkill and makes me not want to even play the game anymore.

yep, happened to me. luckily just on an extra save file.
