Black Axe Bug - Episode 2 PC

So I played through the Walking Dead Episode 1, and it became quickly obvious (when one of the characters mentioned Doug dreaming about pies) that my choices weren't saved. I tried many different remedies to fix this (including replaying the last choice in Episode 1). Now when I try to start Episode 2, all I get is a black screen, with an axe in the inventory slot and dramatic music in the background.

Recommended fix, anyone?! I'd really rather not have to replay Ep1 again :(

It happen exactly the same to me... I tried to reinstall it but no result... I don't know how to do ... HELP! SOMEONE!
