[PC] Game crashed...lost all saves.

So I started the game. I got a Direct3D error or something to that effect. The game continued to open into windowed mode, lost all my settings (resolution, volume, etc.) and all of my saved games were gone. When I go to my documents, the save files are still there, but the game isn't seeing them. I really don't want to have to sit down and play upwards of 2.5 hours all over again. (That's including Episode 1 and about 45 minutes of episode 2).

I did try this before posting here. Unfortunately, it did not work.
