Hey guys, what do you think of the new Silent Hill movie?
I know games-to-movies is never a good idea, but I kinda liked the first one. Even though the story was pretty much butchered from the original game, I still found it an enjoyable movie with some great atmosphere and set-design.
The acting was pretty bad in the first one, and I'm hoping they improved on that.
Still, as far as videogame movies go, I think this was one of the better ones. That's not saying much ofcourse, but it gives me enough curiousity to go and watch the second movie in the theaters.

Looks like a piece of shit, complete with the brown-green, gritty texture that makes up actual shit. Will probably end up being a guilty pleasure, though.

Yeah, but the first one followed that too. I admit I was nitpicking, but I don't like that the movie uses the nurses and Pyramid Head again for fanservice when they existed in 2 for REAL PSYCHOLOGICAL REASONS. That tells me a lot. And while some of the imagery is unsettling, most of it is just....hilarious to me.
