Anything possible at this point. I had a theory that the delay was because TTG decided to deploy each update on IOS instead of waiting for the final game to get done then porting it over to IOS......
A TTG rep actually posted a message in my threat that there is a seperate team doing the IOS porting.
At the time I figured he was correct. But after thinking about it I still have to wonder. If TTG had a seperate IOS porting department then why did they wait until every other game they made was finished before porting it to IOS.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember seeing any other TTG game being updated on IOS as it was being created for PC, XBOX, and PS3.
I'm sure that TTG has a IOS porting department however I have think that TTG executives saw the surge of season pass purchases when Episode 1 was released. Knowing there would be not be much revenue generated after Episode 1 TTG executives ordered their programmers to start the IOS development early to capitalize the games popularity and maximize their profits. In turn slowing down the monthly updates for the PC, XBOX, and PS3.......
That's my theory.

They're all on vacation except for one guy who's left coding everything. Everyone's complaining and he's just stuck in the corner crying.

If that's going to be your attitude, I think the console versions are more to blame for delays than the IOS version. Microsoft and Sony's approval processes take a while, and the episodes could be out for PC a lot sooner if they weren't waiting for simultaneous release. And imagine how quickly the episodes could be out if they were only focusing on the PC version right now and planning on porting to consoles later, you know, like they used to do.

Actually I agree with you 100%. I wish they would focus on the PC version exclusively like it was in the beginning. As the company has grown they have lumped PC, XBOX, and PS3 together for their monthly updates on games. Only recently with TWD have they tried to deploy monthly updates on PC, XBOX, PS3, and IOS all at once....
The only reason I say the IOS updates are causing the delay is because I don't remember delays like this before they started including the IOS platform in their monthly updates when they deploy a new game.

I think that people from TT have said that there is a separate team developing the iOS version, from the rest of the new episodes. From this, I can tell that the iOS version development is not the factor slowing things down.

The people stuck with the iOS are all unpaid interns. They get one meal a day.
It's because of a budget snafu.

Yes they said that in my thread on the forum when I came up with the idea before the iOS version was released......
Don't you find it funny that TellTale will go out of their way to say that in my thread instead of the TellTale team comments thread...
After i started thinking you can check the employee numbers online for the last few years.. There is no great jump like one day there were 400 employes the next there were 700. If there was always a iOS team sepertly working then why did they not release updates on their previous games as the game was being deployed..
They always waited until the game was finished then ported it to iOS....
Its just odd that TellTale actually came out and spoke on my thread when they usually don't say much anymore.... If the idea was so far in right field then why say anything at all about it? Millions of season pass's of the game sold when episode 1 was released. The company is not going profits like that for the following episodes. It's not so far in right field to think that the TTG executives saw the record profits and decided to push up the iOS release's to capitalize on the hype and popularity of the game. Pushing out the iOS version moths after the last episode would not get them nearly as much profits as deploying it right now. So yes I think the company made a decision that screwed us pretty much to push back the general updates and rush the iOS deployment to maximize the profits from the game this pushing back the monthly releases to every 3 months.....
If you caught lightening in a bottle like that woulden't you try to maximize your profits?
If I wrote a monthly update game that everyone paid for up front. Then the game ended up being a smash hit I would rush it on every platform possible then focusing on just updating the game in general.

but your not ttg and vice versa
they want to release a quality product first time every time..
why ?
if they release a buggy pile of excriment, who's going to play it through 'for the story if it's unplayable? not many...
who would return to the game after a patch is released if the initial enjoyment of the title/promsed use of the license had expired like the dodo ? some

Yea and release a totally unplayable game until the patches have done their work with the bugs while pissing off an even bigger audience. Sounds like a brilliant idea.

Thank you.
Rushing a release would be the best way to go though.
I, for one, like the fact that TT didn't panic and didn't release a bug filled game. Sure, there are some but not nearly as many as there would be if this thing was just slapped together and sent out like some want it to be.

Given this is just yet another thread about delays / release schedules, I'm closing this one.
