Hi. :) I was just trying to order the new sketchbook as well as the new poster print, and as I was getting ready to submit the order, I noticed that the shipping price for international post was set to about 40 dollars, and it was the only option available for selection. Has shipping really become that expensive, or is there some problem with the Digital River system?

I also noticed that it said I had to pay taxes for about 20 dollars, and that doesn't sound right?

Thanks for the help!

Same here. I wanted to order the signed print and the new book but $40 shipping to europe is a little to high.

Thanks for the heads up. We'll look into it today.

Definitely a mistake, I'm working on it now.

Anyone who did pay the high shipping price, please write in to support@telltalegames.com with your order number and we'll get it refunded.

EDIT: Should be fixed now. I accidentally set the weight of the signed print to 6 pounds instead of 6 ounces. :o

Thanks for the help. :) But what about the taxes? It says that I have to pay 12 dollars in taxes, and I've never had to pay any taxes when ordering something from this page before.

It looks like that might be a new thing, because I just tried a test order for some of the same merchandise you've bought in the past, using a Norway address, and tax is being charged. I know in the past tax was not charged on merchandise going internationally but maybe it's changed. I'll see if Digital River has any info.

Daniel, DR is looking into this and said they will contact you by email when they have more info. Please let me know what they say.

I haven't gotten a reply from DR yet, but I hope you aren't running out of the new prints or The Effigy Mound sometime soon? :) I'll let you know when they reply!

Don't worry, we won't run out. :)

I did see an order to France today that didn't have tax on it, so it could be that the system is doing something weird with Norway at the moment.

Alright, good to know. ;)

And yeah, I did try to order with an address in Sweden, and no taxes were required, so it's kind of strange. I'll just wait it out and see if they get to the bottom of it. :)

I got charged $40 on international post (only option) so I wrote into support on August 1st, and I now await my reply! :)

I think Ryan did respond to that email on the first. Could you check your spam folder?

Hey Emily. Thanks for checking this out.
I have looked in my inbox and spam folder, but there is nothing there. Would it be possible to resend the email?

Thanks. :)

Have you heard any news regarding the tax-issue? Seeing as it is the weekend, I suppose I might have to wait until at least tomorrow to hear anything from Digital River, if they haven't forgotten about it or something? :)

No, I haven't heard anything. I can follow up with them tomorrow.

I don't mean to nag, but have you heard any more information? I'm in no hurry, though, so it's not urgent. :)

No news yet, but I've got someone who's looking into it. He's pulling VAT reports for other Norwegian customers to try to understand if this is normal or not.

Here's the word:

I have found out from our Tax expert that we recently registered for VAT in Norway @ 25% for Physical Goods - This would explain our no VAT to VAT charge scenarios as of late.

I don't know what prompted the change, but apparently that's how it is now. Sorry. :(

On the bright side, I learned that Norway is one of the few European countries that doesn't have to pay VAT on downloads... most of our European customers do.

It's always been 25% VAT on shipments only if the collected value exceeds approximately 35 dollars, but I suppose I'll just have to deal with it. :D Thanks for the help!

I'll pass that info along.
