but of course lilly may or may not know and thus think it's someone else, using lee to find the evidence, she can shift the blame to who ever she wants to get rid of like kenny (depends on choices players make).

Speaking of theft, I just noticed the bandit in the trailer telling the group "You don't [expletive] steal from us." I started thinking of the car at the end of the last episode.

But as for the traitor, I can see it being Kenny or Ben. Kenny because he doesn't really seem to care about anyone else but his family. And he's the most anxious about leaving the motel, so it wouldn't be too surprising if he decided to give the group a little push in that direction. And Ben of course is relatively new. He didn't exactly receive a warm welcome either, so it's not like he has as much motivation to be loyal.

Given Lilly's reactions in the trailer, her being the traitor would be... odd. But then, I wouldn't put it past her.

Then again, it could be that there is no traitor, and everyone in the group is just starting to become paranoid and jumping to conclusions.

Could be Ben, but knowing how precarious his standing in the group is, I doubt he would knowingly jeopardize it. But then again, it could be him. :)

I'm thinking the most likely person is Kenny. The group didn't exactly welcome him in the drug store so he has his reservations about the group aside from Lee and Clementine. I don't wanna think too far ahead. I'm gonna ruin it for myself!

And no, not because I dislike the kid, but just because it's his father that has been as angry and reckless as Larry was, even being the one to insist on taking Food/Supplies that wasn't there. I do, however, recognize that things might go differently in other folk's playthrough, but, I don't know, just have a feeling.

I think it has to be Doug/Carley that has been taking the food. In episode two, both Carley and Doug turned down when you offer them rations which I found remarkable. I really like Carley and it will bug me to no end if she's the one that has been stealing food but regardless it will be in the spirit of the TWD. I'm curious to see how such a situation plays out and how I will handle it... Probably not well.

I agree because Lilly acted pissed off when Larry didn't get any food and didn't Mark say at the start of episode 2 that they had loads of food and it just seemed to go fast? Maybe Lilly sneaked food for Larry & herself. But i think it could be ether Lilly/Larry or Kenny. The way Kenny acted it does not take much to say he could have been sneaking food for Himself,Duck and Katjaa. We seen how he acted like he would betray the whole group just to save Duck (Which i think we would never let him do that and he would be out of the group in 1 minute if he tried any crap like that.

I COULD see it being Clem, depending upon how you have influenced her.

Based on the preview, it seems that someone has been stealing food and HIDING it (Lee finds the bag of food in the vent). I think there was some sort of suggestion that somebody is taking the food, perhaps not for themselves, but to make the situation seem more dire than it really is at the motor inn.

Kenny is about the only person that has outwardly suggested that they leave - so I doubt it will be him as that is the OBVIOUS choice. But Clementine is thoughtful, and she pays attention to what is being said. It is possible that, over hearing conversations amongst the adults, that she has decided they need to leave the motor inn. It's also possible that she is being directly influenced by Lee (when he agrees with Kenny that they need to leave), or that she came to the conclusion on her own. If it is the latter, I can see her needing to CONVINCE Lee and the other adults to leave the motor inn, to show them that if they stay they WILL starve. Depending on your choice involving the abandoned car, she could feel herself justified in stealing by saying it is for the greater good, or that it doesn't really matter (everyone steals from the car, anyway).

Aside from the fact that Macon is already so "tapped" as he said, why is Kenny so keen on leaving the motel ?

The persistence of his idea that he had since episode 2 made me a bit suspicious.
And during the group discussion, Kenny either mentions that they can "sort" it out or reprimands about Lilly's bossiness tells me his next response would be something like

"Yeah, I did that. You're not the only leader here" kind of statement.

Spot on IMO, that car in the Forrest had to belong to the bandits, we saw them on the way to the farm too. I think it's the same guy to boot.

Maybe the traitor depends on the choices you have made previously and how you have acted towards each person, and is a different person in each playthrough? Unlikely, but it would be pretty cool.

Well, let's take a look at everyone's motivations...

Larry: Trying to protect himself and his daughter, could have been stealing some of the food, but I think that's probably unlikely.

Lilly: Getting more detatched from the group due to the death of her dad. She could also be leaving for woodbury and taking food and supplies for when/if she takes off on her own.

Clem: Could be stealing due to how she is being brought up by lee. She may be stealing after seeing lee and everyone else steal from the car, or maybe not if you didn't loot the car.

Duck: Wouldn't surprise me. His father's attitude could be rubbing off on him.

Lee: Pretty unlikely. I think we would know about it.

Kenny: Getting more detatched. Doesn't really care about anyone but his family, wants to keep them fed.

Ben: New to the group. May not be treated as a full member of the group. Also, he is young, and naive.

Katjaa: Don't really think it's her. Maybe the same reasons as Kenny.

Doug: Can't think of a good reason. Haven't done a doug playthrough yet.

Carley: Can't think of a good reason. Carley seems to be a bit more isolated, really only close to Lee. Then again, she could be setting someone up in order to get Lee into full control of the group.

I'm not exactly sure why or what the "traitor" is doing from what I've seen in the trailer. Lilly makes a comment about "trading" which makes me assume that someone is dealing with the bandits much like the St. Johns with their BBQ Mark legs.
But then again, maybe someone, like a lot of you seem to think, is taking it for themselves or for their family/loved ones.
Either way, I'm not sure it's anyone in the group. Could be Ben but I think Lilly might just be setting all this up for some reason.

Now that is out the way the number one suspect would be Kenny then Doug or Ben. Maybe Clem only because she wants to search for her parents and this her way of motivateing the group to decide to head towards Savannah.

But there another problem with Clem being the main suspect Lilly said in the RV someone let the bandits into the motel. Now I dont see Clem doing that. So it could be two things happening someone taking food and someone who is working with the bandits on the low low.
