I am new and want to know if we will be able to get an aviater next to our name and when?

When you log in, right above the search field is a link that says "My Profile".

Click that and it will take you to a page where there is alot of information you can put in about yourself.

Above all that are some links, and "change avatar" is one of them. Click that and you can upload any avatar you like.

Does that make sense for you?
