I gotta admit when Clem found the boat in the shed I was excited. Keep in mind I am a full grown straight man, and I bounced and hopped in my chair squealing like a little girl clapping her hands on Christmas morning going "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!".

I was actually happy, I went from anxiety to glee in three seconds flat. Any similar reactions?

Yeah and that smile from Kenny was just icing on the cake.

Pretty much the same. I said our plan was to find a boat in Episode 3, and arriving at the boatless docks was the first time I was silent in the entire game. My jaw dropped, and I immediately despaired and cried out that Duck, Carley, Kat, and likely Chuck had all died for nothing.

Clem finding the boat lifted my spirits about as high as they could go, from the lowest they'd ever been at any point to their highest.

I always kind of knew they wouldn't find a boat. In the bottom of my heart I knew that this was never going to work. When we found it I was more shocked than anything. Aside from being a giddy school girl

Honestly I was hoping for an option to hide it from Kenny. I really don't like the boat plan that much, I mean what's the plan afterwards? Just gonna boat around? It's a tiny boat so they can't stay on it. Land on an Island? Whose to say there aren't more walkers there or even enough resources to stay there? Just boatin' around on a blind hope of finding some safe haven is a big gamble.

I like the thought of an Island fewer people means less infected hopefully they all turned before they manged to get the boats out. An island has less zombies then the mainland that's a big bonus

At the moment I'm looking at the US map seeking out an island that's close by to the city.

Edit

Alright found a perfect place for them to go

Dewees island

It's about 130miles away only 150 homes one road only to the island

Problem is, even if they find a nice little holiday resort full of Carley-alikes, they're all still infected. Someone could turn into a walker at any point, just like at Crawford.

It's always been a bad plan. A plan for plan's sake. Still, we got a free train ride out of it, so it's not the end of the world.

It's easy to smash someone's head in with limited resources. Kenny demonstrated that in the meat locker.

Worst island they could choose, it's fuckin near to the shore, just a couple hundred meters to dry land and a HUGE friggin City right next to it.

To me, finding the boat wasnt that nice. I thought it was a stupid idea all along. You have a boat, now what? Drive along the shore and when you land attract a bunch of zombies or bandits with its motor? How long till you have to refuel that fucker?
The train was a lot safer imo.

I agree on the boat, but is the train that much smarter? You can keep on the move till you run out of fuel, but you'll also slowly be making a bigger herd after you. They should have just kept going north like Lee's plan when they go alone, but with the others. The boat plan won't work, and the train is gonna cause more problems in the long run.

You can fortify the train. About the herd: Run over them. Then turn and run over them again. Repeat until the herd loses interest in getting run over.
I'm sure they would've to abandon it sooner or later, but not at a damn city. They would have to go somewhere remote and then leave it.
