Do I need all these to master the game? I'm missing a couple on both the first and second cases...

its nice to find them all... but you can still get a master rating and miss a few of them (which is all that really matters in this game)

You don't need to get every single one, but you do need to get 90% of thoroughness points to be a master. (As well as use no hints and collect all evidence)

I have only missed a couple in cases 2 & 5 and I don't get the bonus items
