Personally i want to be able to choose my own characters gender but i want to here the opinions of other people. All ideas are accepted.

its an idea it can be good to different types of people like some people prefer to play as a girl its kind of like Mass effect different gender different experience

This isn't an RPG though, so TTG would have to effectively create two games - one for a male and one for a female... otherwise it's just.... fluff.

It has nothing to do with being an rpg its not making a different game its basiclly changing dialog. And how characters react not making a totally different game

No.

It's about different character models and animation, two different main voice actors.

And that's "if" they don't have the game acknowledge your gender.

It's a crapton more cost for no real benefit.

Its not that much of a hassle and you cant say the ideas bad. It could actually end up making a great game

I prefer the preset, choosing genders would take away too much of the development time that could be put to use for better stories and reactive choices.

Until I see Lee dying on the screen, I won't bother asking for the season 2 character. I also like the idea of each character having a separate backstory. Having to create your own custom character would just be bland and weak.

i didnt say make a charecter i said pic a gender and i see you like eden of the east i loved that show
