Okay, I'm SURE this must have come up around here in the last few days, but is anyone else bothered that our only choice for this awesome package is one of the crappiest game dealers in the country (depending on your store)? At the operation here in California, I have quite a batch of stories of employees treating me, my family, and friends like dirt on an almost consistent basis when looking for specific (especially nonmainstream) games, which has made us all turn to other retail chains and the internet. On top of this, there are no free shipping options, and combined with California sales tax (a real b****), this adds about ten dollars to the price.

Now, I would love nothing more to hand over my cash to TTG for the set, but not when a chunk of the profits goes to a retailer that I try to avoid with good reason. I know that there's likely nothing that can be done about it at this point, but I would really appreciate if Telltale considered that, in the future, they might have better sales figures if they spread themselves around the market instead of bonding with a company that has always had a bit of controversy surrounding it. Oh, and also, no sales tax with Amazon, and free shipping with TONS of other stores :D

Just buy the damn thing and get it over with... They use that money to buy units of game copies to sell anyway. They arn't going to swim in those 10 extra dollars

FYI, Amazon started charging sales tax in California on September 15.

It's the principle more than anything. It adds up if exclusives with Gamestop get to be common. And I don't want any amount of my money going to those asses -.-

Oh, and Macfly, I don't know what you mean about sales tax in California. I placed an order on the 22nd with no tax. You must mean that anything shipped from an Amazon center in California charges tax? There are plenty of other sellers who use Amazon as a platform and through whom you don't need to pay tax. You can still get free shipping in many of those cases.

Anyway, I just got on the forums to give this one bit of feedback, not to get into an argument. Hope you all who buy the box enjoy it :D

Seeing as I get my games from Gamestop - it doesn't bother me in the least. :)

Guess this means those playing on Mac/PC are getting shit on? No collector's edition, let alone physical retail release has been announced!

I bought The Walking Dead on Steam it was on sale beside in my opinion its best to buy games off from Steam you will not experience that kind of stuff on Steam. Also they shouldn't be judging you what games to buy or not if you like it then buy the damn game they'll lose money if they keep doing that or even lose their jobs.

Telltale always offers great disc versions of their games to people who bought on the Mac/PC (for just the cost of shipping). There's no reason to think they won't do it this time too.

By this point however with every other game they've done, there has been a confirmation that would be available. Would someone kindly correct me if I'm wrong that such a confirmation DOES NOT exist for TWD?

The Gamestop I go to (I also live in California), the clerks have been nothing but helpful and nice to me. I have no problem with it.
