Problem with Sam&Max Season 1

Hey everybody!

I bought the Season 1 DVD from Telltale. The install went fine, but every time when I want to start either of the Episodes I get a Securom error message saying that the original disc is not inserted.
The disc can be read perfectly in windows explorer, only the game won't recognise it as an original.

I already changed the mode of my drive from DMA to PIO, as mentioned in another thread, but that didn't help either.

Have you tried installing our patch for our DVD (http://files.telltalegames.com/support/SamMaxSeason1_SecurROM_1.0_TTG.exe)? It's 43.1MB big.

If that doesn't work, could you tell me the make and model number of the DVD drive you are using?

Yes, I had the Patch installed.

But now I just reinstalled the game (again), applied the patch again and voilá: It works for some mysterious reson...
