It has an Egyptian theme! I'm half expecting Yu-Gi-Oh to turn up. I'd say the villain looks stupid but since Buu is on the poster it reminded me how stupid the last one looked so its a step up.

The curtain rises on the battle of “God(s)”!!!

The “神” character in the tagline is quite intriguing because it is written with the pronunciation “shin“, as opposed to “kami” which is used in the movie’s title. While both can mean “God”, the “shin” pronunciation is not normally used with the kanji by itself, and may be punning on “new” (as in, “The curtain rises on a “new” battle”).

Sounds like this is supposed to take place 2 years after the defeat of Buu, which gives them an out if they decide to completely forget about the Jump special.

I don't know what to think of this. I loved the original 13 DBZ movies, but this seems like a quick cashmaking decision.
Maybe not, I hope not, but it's just a little weird to release a new movie so many years after the story ended.
If they'd continue the DB story with a whole new universe and story, I could understand this release a little better.
