The height difference between the two kind of gave it away for me. Add in the fact that no matter what choice you make, you either send them off somewhere, or never see them again. They're the only two that survived, outside of Clemmy (And maybe Kenny). Of course Clemmy would be scared, she has no idea who they are, due to the distance.

I think we just found our false protagonists for Season 2. :/

Exactly this. It's common courtesy to keep spoilers out of titles so that those who don't visit the Story Discussion forum won't get the story of the games spoiled.
