Some new guy. Still, I thought it would have been better if Clem was the one who died in the end and Lee survived, it would still be heart-wrecking and all. After all, I've come to associate myself with Lee and it won't feel natural (at least in the beginning) to play as an entirely different character with another backstory etc.

Telltale apparently knows how to write good characters to which we can attach and relate to, and I don't really know why we would need to play as one from the old gang (all whom, except for Clem are newcomers).

Look at it this way: its the zombie apocalypse. There's bound to be tons of people trying to survive one way or another, each with his/her own story to tell or explore. And this wouldn't necessary be in Georgia (yes, I know the comic is tied there, but why not break out of that framing?) or even the US - a different location would present new challenges and a different point of view, from some frozen forrest in northern Canada to the deserts of Sahara.

That said, for the actual protagonist, I would like to see a character creation - gender, race and so on, but for best effect, with a 'locked' name. Someone from TTG said it would be intriguing but not feasible since they put so much emphasis on who the characters are. I call BS on that - any change in a character's look is easily done by decals. People adressing the character as a neutrum, or if necessary, double lines can be recorded. It has been done before, it can be done again.

Exactly how the character ends up in the apocalypse doesn't matter. What matters is that we can get some kind of closure, and that there is some kind of goal that can be accomplished. I understand that the comic is basically just a long run from the zombies, but does it need to be like that? What if there is a 'cure', or an actual safe place somewhere where the protagonist and his/her group can go and seek refuge?
Yes, the journey counts, but so does the destination.

In short, I would prefer a new protagonist. period.

I wish Lee could somehow be still alive and normal too..
For example: They can turn back the time to the point where Clem had to shoot/leave him. What if Lee's "infection".. let's say, was a "flu" which is gone after some time. So Lee can go to find Clem again and take care of her :)
I trully love Lee and i love the relationship they made. If there's supposed to be Clem's "Guardian" it has to be Lee.

Christa's pregnant, so it would be dumb to play as her cause it would be logical to make her a by-stander in most of risky maneuvers. I don't like Omid very much... older characters we lost touch with early on - nah... maybe Lilly, Kenny for sure if he survived. So two choices for me - play as Kenny if he survived and found Omid, Christa and Clem (alternative would be if Kenny died - play as Lilly - make her stumble upon Omid, Christa and Clem... that would be interesting cause only Clem would know what Lilly did)... or a brand new cast... but I don't wanna separate from Clem somehow.
Clem would be a bad choice, she's only 9 and she wouldn't be included in much planning or anything really.

P.S. Oh, how did I forget! Molly, maybe?

I would like a new group that adopts Clem, but you're the only one who treats her well. Maybe, the rest of the group is harsh and you have to escape and the story unfolds? Not sure what kind of character I'd like though, without being a carbon copy of Lee.

How can people talk about being an older Clem, when that is completly impossible!? The comic series is about 2-3 years into the apocalypse, then Clem would be just 10/11 years old. TellTale can't go ahead of the story line in the comic's, because Kirkman decides everything that is going to happen.

I was thinking over this the other day. I'm not sure if I want Clem to reappear either. I think having her again would only bring back sad memories of Lee and Season 1 and everything her and Lee went through together. I'd rather just be safe with the knowledge that Lee succeeded in preparing this little girl for the worst and that no matter what, she's out there still living and still surviving.

Seriously though, I would like a whole new cast, and after discussing it on various forums, I'd love it if the protagonist was female. I now know that Telltale write amazing characters, so I'd love them to try a female lead. Not a crazy Molly-esque badass, but also not a complete flake like the majority of the female cast in the TV series.

There are potential storylines that would be interesting and more unique to a woman than a man - the threat of rape from bandits, or the struggled to prove you're not just a weak lady, but can take care of yourself.

At the same time, though, I wouldn't want the fact she is female to rule the plot - just like Lee's skin colour didn't matter.

A female protagonist would be great. I'd like to play as Clem--I want her story to continue, but another 'protect Clem' game would just make the new character feel like an imitation of Lee. Molly had a very "protagonist of another game" feeling to her, and her parkour skills would make for some interesting gameplay. Lilly would be another conflicted protagonist trying to live down her past. With Christa you'd have the added pressure of having her pregnancy to worry about.

You kind of have to be a new character because Christa and Omid already have a set personality and morals. Clementine is also too young. Playing as her means that we wouldn't be able to really protect ourselves and would have to have a guardian that makes decisions for us. Lee didn't have any of those and that is why we were able to kill people, lie, etc...

As much as I would love to see clem again, it just won't be the same without being lee. It's going to kill me not knowing whats happening to her or how she's doing, but i think that it's time to close the chapter on their journey. As for people wanting to be existing characters, it wouldn't work as they already have their own personalities and seeing as the game is about how you input your own personality onto lee, it just wouldn't make sense. the only character which you could slightly get away with becoming a PC would be Molly, as you saw so little of her, but with the movement style (crazy jumps with "Hilda") may not be suited to TWD's slow pace which really suits the game. So i guess i'd have to say that it's going to have to be a new cast, gonna be weird without lee and clem though and it's going to be interesting to see how they're going to replace these 2 if they decide to go with a new cast.

Lilly, she's just as tough as Lee which makes it a no brainer for me, unless they bring a new cast.

Molly would be the best choice in my opinion. She did everything but sell her soul to the devil to save her sister. She is a high level survivor and in my episode, she showed both love and compassion. This is something Clem needs. I'm not so worried about the zombies with Clem. The survivors have always been the lead role as antagonist for me.

My second choice is in line with the poster, Warge. We can just start another story somewhere else and go through this emotional roller coaster once more. Perhaps the next round will address higher level survival... as we know, in the current story line, Glenn will eventually meet Rick Grimes.... lets not go down that road.

We are starving readers/players who follow TWD in whatever media that exists. We really don't need that stale 'long zombie run' or that soap opera feeling. Give us more scenarios with character transitions that TT has been almost expert in delivering up to now... well, S1E4.

I'd like it in England, homeland! But it probably won't happen due to the comics/ in Georgia so not sure if a small scale game would have the authority to change it. :(
