Vernon and his group shouldn't have stolen it. It was a bit far-fetched. How could that old woman even get there? She could barely stand... However he should have only stolen it if you threatened him at the start. That would've made sense the. I was nice the Vernon throughout and it just doesn't seem like that's a thing he would do. TellTale could've thought of something else!

Vernon steals the boat in every scenario. It doesn't matter if you rescue Clem alone, take a few people, or take everyone in the group with you.

if you left people in the house, he will come armed and prepare to shoot. if kenny stayed, he would actually try to resist but get beat up.

another scenario where no matter what you choose to do. The game doesn't change.

My main problem with the game, no choices "really" matter.

Nothing is more threatening than a bunch of cancer patients. Well, maybe they had the revolver, but that's besides the point.
What made it worse was that I left Ben to look out for the boat. Kenny was "kinda" pissed off.

Hell, Vernon even argued against getting on a boat in Episode 4.

Vernon saw the massive horde of thousands of walkers pouring into Savannah at the end of episode 4, so they probably knew that they were screwed. While he may not have liked the idea of a boat, he could probably assume that getting on it would be safer than battling the sea of death all by their lonesome. Their only safe haven was the fallout shelter and it gets swarmed just as well.

Even if he cares for Lee and his group, he knew the size of the boat and would probably choose his people who he may have been with for a very long time compared to a bunch of strangers he just met. Just as well, he had been living in Crawford for a time before fleeing underground, so he also probably knew that there were likely no other boats to be found in the city.

In the words of an awesome fanart, Vernon.....I will find you. I will kill you.
