Cool interview! But not at all what I was imagining Clem's voice actor to look like.

He said that Lee killed his wife and her lover? When did it say he killed his wife?

Maybe he misunderstood, or forgot. I know a few people who thought Lee killed his wife and not a state senator.

Good interview. Had a slight sad tinge to it, shame Dave isn't a part of the amazing story TT are making.

Thanks for the kind words/comments everyone! The Clem hat is cool isn't it?

@Wrighty: I agree that there is a slight tinge of sadness to the interview. As Dave said though, Lee getting bitten and his inevitable death gave him the opportunity to voice some highly emotional final scenes! :)

@RainbowSprinklz, @Mornai: Dave said the same thing in our very first interview (http://alternativemagazineonline.co.uk/2012/05/14/interview-in-conversation-with-dave-fennoy-lee-everett-the-walking-dead-the-game/). Perhaps he knows some background information that we don't, or maybe even recorded some lines that didn't end up in the final game?

At the end of episode 5. When you are talking to the final guy, the one who kidnapped Clementine. If you choose the right options and tell the man that your worse mistake was how you treated your ex-wife, that is when Lee admits that he killed his wife after catching her in an affair.

no he doesn't, he says it was his fault she cheated on him not that he killed her, he killed a senetor

He definitely did not kill his wife. He 'only' killed the Senator. This is also mentioned by Carly who reported on his case in EP1.

Dave Fennoy seemed to be confused about it.

Does Lee ever actually say that he didn't kill his wife? It might just be a detail that Mr Fennoy is aware of that wasn't explicitly mentioned in the game? I wonder what he knows that we don't... :p

Errr... they wouldn't just skip that info. Also, again: Carley reported on the case so obviously she was well aware of all the facts etc. And she only mentions him killing the senator.

Besides, it would make no sense as it would ruin the entire character if he also killed his wife.

The senator's murder would be the main headline, as he is high profile. Lee would be known as the guy who killed the senator. I'm not saying they wouldn't mention him killing his wife, all I meant is that we can't 100% rule it out. It's not mentioned one way or the other in the actual game what happened to his wife. I was just trying to speculate and remain lighthearted - Dave has mentioned this twice now so who knows? I wouldn't say it would ruin the character though if it did turn out to be true!

i think it would ruin the character, murderers aren't normal people, normal people do get angry and do things they regret, but i think killing two people tips the balance to the side of murderer, a murderer is a murderer there is no redemption because that is what they are, but a guy that made a mistake and because of who the mistake was about got the worst sentence is redeemable because it was a mistake

I understand what you're saying - but couldn't he have killed his wife by mistake too? Perhaps he cut the breaks on the senator's car and didn't realise his wife would be in the passenger seat beside him! I'm just guessing of course - the truth is we just don't know. I agree though that Lee doesn't seem like the type of man to brutally murder his wife, even if he was blind with rage. If he did kill her, I'm thinking it was a genuine mistake. Maybe one of the Telltale team will see this thread and weigh in? It's certainly interesting to talk about anyway! :)

it was a fight, cutting the breaks in the senators car would be premeditated murder that could obviously cause other people the be killed as well, that would be worse than a fight that went to far

Yeah you're right of course, that would be far too calculated. I was just using the brakes thing as an example - I remembered something like that happening in The Shawshank Redemption. Maybe he killed the senator and then as a result his wife killed herself - he'd feel like he killed them both? Hmm... I want to know what actually happened now!

you can say to shawn that you don't know where his wife is, i guess you could argue that he meant that in a spiritual sense, but i don't think she is dead

You can also say that to Hershel, and Lee will say he thinks she's up in Virginia. I think she just divorced him and moved out of state.

Such an awesome hat Melissa got, I'm so jealous. :(

Why not make your own? Just buy a blue hat in that style and stitch a D on it. I actually saw a little girl make one http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=7GrfHE3eToc#t=10s

No problem! I'm glad you've enjoyed reading them - I hope to continue interviewing Melissa if she returns for The Walking Dead: The Game Season 2! *fingers crossed* :)
