When I play the game, I get weird random polygons popping up and characters disappearing for no reason. This is sometimes barely noticeable but sometimes it completely overwhelms the screen. It's sometimes accompanied by "static" sounds and static-like pixels appearing on the screen.

It also crashes the game when it gets really bad. I have an NVidia GeForce 6600 and have fully updated drivers. I am running it on Windows XP. Any ideas?

Have you also tried updating your DirectX (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en)? Sometimes running that will clear up any lingering DirectX problems not caught by the graphics drivers.

It might also be a good idea to try re-installing the game. It is possible that something is corrupted.

Cheers, I'll give that a whirl.

Whlie I'm here, I might as well mention that I requested the Sam & Max season 1 DVD after buying the full set but it never arrived - is this because I'm in the UK?

I did all this back in 2007, of course, but I've been too busy to play on my PC or follow up anything since then...
