View Full Version : Chances of surviving a Season...

Based on all the characters from Season one who died and lived there is roughly a 28% chance that a character will survive per Season. (this is assuming that all the characters who's fate is unknown are still alive)

With that in-mind, do we even want to see Clementine/Omid/Chrtisa in Season two? Given that statistically speaking only one of the three will survive it?

Statistics don't count for individuals, maybe they find other survivors, lets say 6-7 people and all of them die, or they don't who knows? I don't believe in a happy ending so I think poor Clem dies in the very end, until then I want to protect her, I don't want new characters, or better say I do, but I want at least Omid and Clem back, I mean Omid is just hilarious, and Clem the coolest video game kid ever... and Kenny is not dead for sure, though I think he is... anyways, that's my thoughts

Nooooo, Omid and Christa have to be around for at least part of Season 2! (And Clem, of course, obviously)

I adore Omid.

Everyone dying would be the most TWD thing ever.

Well I actually think there is a higher chance that the main character would survive. Why? Because it would be cliche and predictable writing if the kill off the protagonist twice in a row. Heck even before Episode 4 I saw Lees death coming.

That said based on the darkness of TWD if Clementine is in season 2 I predict that she will be the next one to die. I mean the game messes with your emotions and TellTale has no reason to hold back just because we like Clementine.

I don't think statistics matter here. TT can bring back any character they want.

Hmm. Here's another statistic for you to find. What are the chances of surviving a Season for sure? Let's just count anyone who is unknown at this point dead, or missing. For all we know, Molly, Vernon and Co., Christa, and Omid all got eaten back in Savannah.

So Lilly (Woodbury) and Clementine are the only ones that survived for sure?

I need closure with Clem at least. So yea we need her in season 2 even if she does die.

Where did you come up with that number We got 3 alive, 33 dead and 13 unknown. Going by your statement everyone unknown being alive that would be 16 out of 49 = 32.7%. No idea where you got your 28% from.

Also, it is safe to assume that most people whose destiny is unknown died. Such as Anna, Jolenes daughter, Andre etc.

Lee = dead, Lee's Brother = Dead, Clementine = Alive, Ed and Diana = Dead, Andre = unknown, Sandra = Dead, Andre = unknown, Chet = dead, Hershel = Unknown, Shawn = dead, Kenny = dead (90+%, wouldn't call it unknown), Katjaa = dead, Duck = Dead, Glenn= unknown, Carley=Dead, Doug=dead, Beatrice=dead, Lilly=unknown, Larry=dead, Irene=dead, Mark=dead, Ben=dead, Travis=dead, David=dead, Andrew=unknown, Danny=unknown or dead, Terry=unknown, Brenda=dead, Gary=dead, Drew=Dead, Linda=unknown, Danielle=unknown, Jolene=dead, Charles=dead, Christa=alive, Omid=alive, Campman=dead, Tess=Dead, Young attíc boy=dead, Molly=unknown, Anna=unknown, Oberson=dead, dr. Logan=dead, Jeferson=dead, Vernon, Boyd, Clive and Joiyce=unknown, Brie=dead,

I think it would be safe to classify Kenny as dead at this point. Unless something in Season 2 indicates that he isn't.

Too tired to explain this again, was discussed numerous times. He is pretty much dead. Besides, he accounts for ~2% of the walking dead characters, so even if I am incorrect it wouldn't make much of a difference.

You get on the OP for his mystery numbers then you throw out your own. Hmmm

Its probably that by characters he meant characters that were a part of the group or even just characters you actually meet in person (alive).

If we're talking the people who appear in your group for more than one episode (those more relevent to the main question about Christa, Omid and Clem) then we've got

Clementine - alive
Carley - dead
Kenny - dead
Lee - dead
Duck - dead
Doug - dead
Omid - alive
Katjaa -dead
Christa- alive
Chuck - dead
Lilly - unknown (if she's now not the comic book Lilly then her situation looks bad)
Larry - dead
Ben - dead

3 alive, 1 unknown, 9 dead. That gives me 23% or 30% based on if Lilly's alive.

That was just a list of long term group members, (like Clem, Christa and Omid) which was the original point of this thread, How likely are they to survive another season (answer, not very)

By meeting people alive i was talking about you including people from the Crawford tapes and the boy in the attic. The OP didn't say was his criteria for a character worth counting was.

Christa and Omid are unknown, not alive...

You could argue their all unknown by that definition. They weren't in any danger the last time we saw them so we have to assume they are alive.

indeed. If you argue Omid and Christa are unknown then so is Clementine... because we don't know what happened to her after the scene in the fields.. so that turns everyone into either unknown or dead. I think you have to account for ALL the characters in the game in order to make a chance of survival.
And that would be around 1/3 characters you meet will survive long enough to finish the season. Anything else is no more than unproved guessing.

Clem was the only one seen alive at the end of the Ep. Anything after that scene happens after the season.

Well they were last seen on a roof top in a city full of walkers, not exactly safe. As we seen 2 people die once we started on the roof and almost more when the sign broke.

Also if you told them and Clem to meet at the train, something happens that they can't meet up there. So I think unknown is good for them.

Depends if you're after a general survival rate for everyone then you should, but it is fiction and even in the walking dead the survival rate is going to be very different for background and foreground characters, the fact that Dr Logan died doesn't really relate to Omid and Christa's chances, while the likes of Carley, Doug and Kenny's deaths probably do as they had a more similar role in the game.

Nobody in the game is ever safe, but they lacked a notable death scene and weren't in any massive danger at the time. As for not meeting up with Clem, she's 9, finding the train station in a massive city full of walkers is a tough ask or maybe the meeting place was overrun, could be anything. Without any hints that they're dead we have to assume they're OK.

They are technically unknown in the opposite way to Kenny. He's 95% dead so we assume, They're 95% alive so we assume. They are much more likely to be alive than the other "unknowns"

I disagree, I dont think Clem will die. The whole story is about her. Our mission in season 1 was to protect her. Sure there were other goals but Clem was what the game revolved around.

Its just like the Comics. The story is about Rick, it revolves around him.

Even in TWD you cant just kill off the main people. Sure every now and then a main character will die because it adds drama and suspense, but TWD comics/TV show would be nothing without Rick. Because its a story about his life. So with the game its a story of Clems life.

I recall reading in an interview(or maybe it was letter hacks) that Kirkman plans to kill Rick in the comics before they are over, and he already feels like Carl can lead.

I think the odds of Clem dying are more likely this time around. What would be more emotionally devastating after losing Lee? For many, it would be losing Clementine. Sure, we can meet new characters in season 2, grow to love them and be heartbroken when they die, but we'll still have a ton of extra time invested with Clem from the first season that the new ones won't have.

Currently Clem is the only survivor who has been with us through every single episode(and is still guaranteed to be alive, for now). Maybe it's different for others, but for me that adds a lot of weight to a character when I've spent a lot of time getting to know and appreciate(or resent) them. The longer they're there, the more broken up I'll be when they're gone.

For example, i doubt many of us would have felt as sad as we were when Carley/Doug died in episode 3 than we would if they were not chosen in episode 1. Since Clem has been there since the beginning, as it stands i think her death would have the highest emotional impact.

Your right, But get clem inside a really really bad situation will also do a lot! We don’t have to get clem killd To get a great impact.!

It will not top this story. But it’s nearly impossible! But still a great game!

I agree with this guy above me. Clem doesnt need to die, why do we need to have the highest emotional impact? I felt devastated when Lee died. I felt bad when Kenny, Duck, Carley and Even maybe maybe a little at the end of Bens life. They can keep emotions high by killing people we care about, it doesnt have to be Clem.

I honestly would hate TWD if they kill of Clem. Sure its TWD and sure there are no happy endings and everyone is fighting against the odds to stay alive. But Clem is the symbol of Hope in this game. If they kill her, they lose all hope. Who wants to play a game where there is nothing good. Who would want to live in a world where there is nothing good? There has to be Hope, and even TellTale has said that she is the symbol for hope!

I'm kinda confused that anyone haven't mentioned Molly yet. I'd like s2 would be more about finding wtf is up with the world and playing a ninja chick to do that would be freaking awesome.

I got closure when it came to clem and stuff, she's been taken care off, just gotta have to trust that. Not that I wouldn't like to meet up w her again in the future, I just don't want to play as her.

Edit: Wouldn't want to play as anyone else either. Lee was obviuosly the smartest problemsolver of that group. Molly is even more resourceful, so s2 could get a step up in things required to do and amp up the difficulty both of reaction time and problem solving.

It’s better than the ending of a good 97% of other zombie-themed movie/game endings, where everyone who was a main character dies at the end. At least in this we know at least three guys made it out of Season 1 alive.
