because it wasn't relevant to the story at that point. it didn't fit to talk about them at that point because telltale wanted to bundle the entire focus on the last intimate scene between clem and Lee.

She probably would have asked if she was real but you could always argue she did that off screen, like in between leaving the hotel before entering the streets, which wasn't shown etc.

Clem isn't dumb, I got the impression that she even knew that Lee was bitten and that he was going to be gone soon. I think it is in the moments that we see her come to terms with this that we see the true Clem and not the little girl she once was. I agree that Clem definitely is able to gather this even if she never explicitly says it.

Just like how no one asks what happened to Katjaa after she offs herself, we can assume they talk about it off-screen or draw their own conclusions and quietly accept it.
