Does anyone else think the voice acting seems really off in this piece? Sam and Max just don't sound like themselves.

Sam also didn't sound like himself in the beginning of 203, when he shouted "Jurgen!" or something

Pardon me for the stupid question, but; why do their memories come back seconds later? Even though past Sam and Max's memories don't.

Narrative causality. Whatever the story requires.... it doesn't have to make sense. Refer to the Fountain of Youth water behaviour as well...
