How to change the frequency - CSI Hard Evidence

Everytime I launch the game, there is a black screen with a message saying "Frequency over range". I can't play at the game and I would like to know how to change the frequency without going into the game.

Hey gumgl, that is basically saying that the game is trying to display in a resolution that your monitor doesn't support. Try opening up your CSI folder and deleting a file called prefs.prop.

I deleted it and now the game opens in a window and isn't full screen.
I changed the resolution, and it only changes the window size.

Yeah, if you want it to go back to full-screen mode, you will have to select that option from the menu (or just hit alt+enter). Make sure you select a fairly low resolution to start with and work your way up so you don't get the "Frequency over range" error again.
