HELP PLEASE..!!It said GameUpdate.exe-Unable To Locate Component

I had installed it from a CD..
but when i want to open it..
it said..

This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found..

could somebody help me..??pleasseeeeeee...........

p.s: I know i posted it at wrong place..
