Hi !
I really love the Sam & Max series (bought Season1, S2E1 and downloaded the S2 demos).
Tested the demos and found out they are for XP/Vista only !

After constantly receiving the errormessage :
procedureentrypoint rtlcapturecontext could not be found in kernel32.dll
I found 3 inofficial patches for Windows 2000 for episodes 202, 203 and 204. :) but none for 205 :(

After applying them to the demos, guess what :
The games ran as smooth as always !
Neither sound- nor graphicproblems, no lags, no freezes !
That even on my ancient hardware :
Athlon 2000@1667 mhz, 1GB RAM, GeForce3ti200 64mb, DX9, W2KSP4

So I donŽt see any reason why W2K support was removed !
Could somebody please shed some light on these topics:
Why was it removed ?
Will it be reinserted ?
If not:
Will there be official patches ?
Will this problem been given consideration for season 3 ?

Thanks for Your answers,
Agi

Win2K support wasn't removed; we never actually supported it in the first place. We've always been an XP/Vista-only studio. We don't have any Win2K machines to test on, and since Win2K is not a very big gaming platform, it doesn't make sense for us to devote resources to it. Sorry. :(

Besides 205 is only just out, give it a while and maybe you'll see your patch :)

Thanks ! and sorry that I completely missed the thread that was there already.
Since the patches for 202, 203 and 204 are working, I think IŽll just have to wait for the 205 patch to come up. :)
