In the latest episode, as we all know, you dump the $#&! Poppers into the island where they are dissolved by lava pouring out of the Bermuda triangle

Does anyone else hope this means they won't be appearing in season 3? Oh god, the voices...the five o clock shadow! Haunting my dreams!

205 clearly has shown us that death means nothing in the Sam and Max Universe. So you never know.

But just because the Sam and Max universe allows Telltale to do something, it doesn't mean they should. After 11 episodes, the $#&! Poppers have run their course. While they might not have appeared in every episode, they still played a large role in the all the goings on. It's time to move on to something new.

I didn't realize that Telltale had license agreements on certain characters. I wonder if the poppers are still owned by LucasArts.

The Soda Poppers were the least compelling villains of the entire series. They never had a lovable hook like Brady Culture or Hugh Bliss or the Mariachis, they were just completely annoying and one dimensional. I'm glad they're gone, and I expect that telltale will come up with something creative to replace them.

I think they could return, obviously not playing the same integral role they once played. But I'm sure some how they will turn up in one way or another..In Sam and Max's closet? lawl.

I'm sorry if this completely scars anyone, but, I kinda liked the Soda Poppers. *gasp!* Peepers voice did make me want to kill him, bring him back to life and then kill him again, but Specs and Whizzer were pretty funny I thought. Whizzer actually seemed like an okay guy, and Specs' voice and character were so spot on SuperDork. Plus, they're the only characters besides Max who are shorter than I am, and that's a demographic that is just totally ignored in the game industry!

One of the things I've noticed about bringing back villians, at least in my playing experience, is that you almost always hate them and are annoyed by them.

I hate Hugh Bliss, The Poppers, Jurgen, Brady Cultu..

Wait maybe I should just list the ones I don't hate. The Shambling Corporate Presence was kind of cute and goofy, come on Santa gave us more trouble than SCP. The Sea Monkeys were the same way. And Abe turned into Sybil's boyfriend and sort of became a foil to the boys but not an outright opponent.

But that's the point, you're supposed to hate and despise the villian characters so that you have no qualms about killing them off.
