I know it's not all that good, but here's my best Max made with Spore Creature Creator.

I tried to make a Sam, but the results were horrifying. :p
I'm not going to ask how you got a hold of that before I did, who has shelled out cash in advance and is waiting for the shipping conformation.

It's been leaked, and Maxis gave the go-ahead to download it. Only stipulation is that you can't create a Spore account yet.
EDIT: I should mention that I'm not talking about the full version of the Creature Creator. This is a free demo that was supposed to be released on the same day. A demo of a demo, basically.

Well, you can get closer than that with just the demo tools. With the full version you could actually get pretty decent results. I whipped this up in a couple of mins:

The free demo for Creature Creator has somewhere under 1/4 of the options the full version has. And it's STILL awesome. It's awesome enough that the entire Creature Creator has a price tag on it, despite being only a small part of the upcoming game, Spore. I'm pretty sure that if you tried the demo for the "demo", then you could see the point for yourself.

The problem is, my scroll wheel is broken, so I can't "inflate" the body. Hence my Max looking like a Rabbid. :p Nice job on yours, by the way.

Wow, I hope that animation doesn't get put into Max's random idol animation in Season 3...

I was going to make a joke about Max's gun, but then I decided not to. But then again, maybe I just did.
He's doing squats to keep those gluteals in shape! He's an active lagomorph and can't afford to not be 100%. :p

Heh, when you use the GIF feature, your creature does a random animation. Unfortunately, the squat was the only one that looked even slightly Max-like. :p

Nice! How did you do the mouth?
Oh, and the tail: I've found that the spiked ball works best. When you increase it's size, the spikes disappear, leaving you with a perfect orb.

It was the best I had :p Never thought of using the eyes for lips...
Hopefully the full version will have more Max-y parts. :D
It does, though I'm not too keen about the fact that the closest thing to Max's mouth is the mouth to a leech... but, then again, that does seem more appropriate.

Pretty good, but the head is too oval-shaped, in my opinion.

I see you figured the max out linque! (to clarify for others, you expand the mouth really far sideways and that's your head!) Nice!
Now that I'm bored enough, I think I'll try the cheat. REST ASSURED, IT WILL ALL END IN TRADGEDY.

The shape is the same, but I could never get the coloring. So, I settled for the cotton candy texture map with the day-glow primary triad scheme. Couldn't find a good texture map for the red, either, but thankfully the game's procedural painting put it into the flowers I put on either side of the head behind the eyes.

Just did a search on the Sporepedia now that it's over 2 million creations.

o yeah...i wouldn't doubt it. i made my own computer and I have 2 graphics cards. graphics are such a pain some times.
