Trapping KOT again

Now, i've beaten the game and it seems like i need to inspect KOT when he's in the hole to get one of the trophies. The problem is that i can't place any more candy on the doormat, my cursor simply changes back into a dot if i try to do it. Any help?

No way to do it.

This is how I had to do it:

Put leaves on the hole, and put the chocolate on the covered hole. :D

Yea, KOT shows up and notices the hole and walks away.

And after that you cant get him to come near the trap again because strong bad dose not want to waste a good trap.
