Ep 1: Vent With No Exit

So I'm in the KoT's castle, trying to get the criminal record. I figured out how to use the plunger to get up into the vent. After that, I'm stuck. All I can do is tiptoe back and forth up there, but the game won't let me jump down -- neither back the way I came nor down into the Record Room. I've tried using everything in my inventory, to no avail. SB informs me that stealth is required, and the KoT keeps babbling on about cake. No help.

Click on Homestar's record and he'll hop down after it....but, first let the poopsmith see you so that strong mad leaves the records room then hop up in the vent and go after the record!!!

Yes, that's so, but it would appear he's trapped by a bug. Might wanna try the support forum for this one.

The thing to know is that clicking on the far VENT will not get you down into the room with the Record, you have to click on Homestar's Criminal RECORD itself.

Thanks; I'm now a forbidden ice dancer. Which, of course, I have always dreamed of being.

I wouldn't call my problem a bug, but perhaps "design flaw" would be appropriate.

click on HR record
