Sorry about that. I just wanted to know what everyone's favorite TV shows are, and why. I like Death Note because it's incredibly manly, the characters are awesome, and it has a great soundtrack (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uUVX376U4M&feature=related).

I've never seen the movie, but I hear they cut out almost everyone from the second part of the anime. The only one they left from there is L's crappy successor. Plus, the anime came before the movie. It's always best to see the original first! Though I guess that would mean the manga...

I don't watch TV much other than when I'm doing something else, like gaming, and kind of wanna listen to whatever is on, and I never watch the episodes of these when they first come out.

Eep. I'll still end up seeing it, in hopes that the movie succeeding might get the show going again, but those were two of my favorite characters right there.
Not that I need another show to twitch in withdrawal for every week. :p Especially when they leave you with uber-cliffhangers, like a certain season finale of Weeds that I won't mention, mumble mumble rant rant...

Earthworm Jim
...The soil he did crawl!
Earthworm Jim!
A supersuit did fall!
Jim was just a dirt-eating chewy length of worm flesh,
But that all came to a crashing end.
Earthworm Jim!
He's such a groovy guy!
Earthworm Jim!
He rockets through the sky!
Cruising through the universe, having lots of fun!
Here comes Earthworm Jim, you know that he's a mighty one!
Despite his great big muscles and his really big ray gun
Jim is still an earthworm, but then he's the only one
With a super suit to make him really super strong,
Jim can be a winner if we only sing along!
Earthworm Jim!
We think he's mighty fine!
Earthworm Jim!
A hero for all time!
Earthworm! Earthworm! Earthworm! Earthworm Jim!
Hooray for him!

If I pretend that it's a different show with a couple of crossover characters, I don't mind it. But I can't deny that it's barely a shadow of the original show. The new main character is just a mix of JD and Elliot, minus what made them memorable.

I've gotta disagree there. I thought Scrubs was top-notch from S1E1 to the "finale". The only low point I can really pick out is the fairy tale episode.
One thing I loved about Med School, incidentally: The Janitor's send-off. Janitor has always been my favorite side character (besides Rowdy, who deserves a spinoff), and the idea that he only worked at Sacred Heart to annoy JD was a fantastic retcon.

Nah, it def waned in the later years I think, it didn't shake up its formula and became far too predictable. Plus everyone knows Judy Reyes was phoning it in the last two seasons :P
Loved Janitors send-off though, brilliant and true to character, with him and Ted gone (by gum I loved Ted) Kelso's probably my favourite bit-player. In Med School one good thing has been the new writers, characters like Cox have gotten a whole new lease of life. The rich kid's pretty funny to, even if you are supposed to hate him "YOU SUCK ZIMMERMAN!"

Haha, true. It's a shame, too. Donald and Judy were great comedic foils for each other. Not as good as Zach and Donald, but there's definitely something missing seeing Turk without Carla.

Ted would have to be Rowdy's sidekick in my aforementioned spinoff. No other actor could make constant flop sweat look so natural. :p
Hate Cole. He's like The Todd, except not lovable. They gave him a more human side in the last two episodes, though, so I may change my tune. I just wish he'd shave his 'brows. They bug me, and I don't know why.

Nope, i only 'discovered' ST after STXI came out in the cinemas (although it was the last film i saw). DS9 was my first series, and whilst it is slower paced, i enjoy the character progression, and overarching storylines. I still haven't seen the first 12 episodes or so. Angry Beavers has won my childhood. Rocko was also awesome.
What do I remember... I always liked Ghostbusters cartoons, The Real Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters Extreme (characters were great in that one). There was one other Ghostbusters cartoon... with a gorilla and Jack Black or something... That sucked.
Anyway so I kind of liked Angel, you know the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff (Buffy sucked). Better than seeing some sparkly vampires.
Gotta love Scrubs (till Season 6). Heroes was epic (till Season 2). I kind of liked Smallville (till Season 2?). Man... they piss on awesome ideas when they try to lengthen the story like a gum.

there are a lot of popular shows listed here, which i also like such as spongebob. But there is one tv series no-one has mentioned which i think is AMAZING. It's called the "A-team". It is a 1980's t.v. and is soo good, the entire 5 seasons are available on DVD. I never saw the A-team until quite recently. I don't usually watch old films, but that is just one awesome t.v. series. I would go as far as to say, better than spongebob. Here's my list, with rating (5 star=awesome, any less=not as good):-
Fresh Prince of Bel-air (****)
Spongebob (****)
A-Team (*****)
Top Gear (****)
Looney Tunes (****)
Baby Looney Tunes (****)

Going to add some more I like:
House,
Chuck,
Battlestar Galactica (reimagined)
Angel,
Buffy,
NCIS.
Of course there are others, but they aren't particularly noteworthy.
