Nigel The Hook...

....has become an obsession for me. :p
I've understood all the references in the fourth panel of the comic (Ginny Weasley, Teletubbies....), but....WHO/WHAT IS NIGEL THE HOOK?!?! :-/
Being Italian, I couldn't catch some peculiar American / English references. Someone could help me out?
I've read all S&M comics but I've never had such a problem. :D

However, it is pretty funny to imagine what Sam and Max might have done to tick this guy off.

Personally I just like to assume its a made up gangster name. I may be wrong though. The name's in comic no. 4 as someone they've annoyed so... who knows?

I figure it's a gangster, too, but I was thinking maybe he was a real person perhaps. Perhaps not. Either way, I think I've been giving too much thought on who Nigel is.
