View Full Version : Season Upgrade More Expensive than the Season
Rather Dashing

I noticed a strange discrepancy that popped up when the price of Season One changed.
The price of the Upgrade did NOT change, and so right now the Season Upgrade is actually $1.05 more expensive than the season by itself.

Yes, right now that's true, because Season One is temporarily discounted to $19.95.
People who were planning to upgrade should just buy the full season for a better deal. ;)

So you`re saying this just means bad luck for me who bought ToMI and got the Sam & Max Ep 101 with the pre-order gift voucher? As I`d also like to play the Sam & Max episodes (I just learned about telltale games through the ToMI news) the situation does feel like some kind of a clever rip-off: I just completely wasted my pre-order gift from ToMI! Considering the pricing I will have to buy the whole season and not the upgrade (lest wanting to "donate" another 2 $). Had I known that in advance I would have gotten ep 201 with the pre-order gift voucher and just purchased the already cheaper Season One completely :(
You definitely won`t lower the season one upgrade price - even if it`s just to 18 $?

We weren't trying to rip anyone off. A lot of people won't put down even $19.95 for a game they haven't tried yet, and we see the free episode as a good way to introduce people to a game they might otherwise not have checked out.
That being said, if you're upset about it and would have chosen a different game if you'd known you could get Season One for $19.95, go ahead and purchase Season One, and then send me a PM with your order number and I'll be happy to reinstate your coupon for you so you can use it on a different game.

I didn't want to accuse TTG of trying to rip anyone off, since I didn't think that that was your intention. I just felt confused about the pricing and the whole voucher thing.
Thank you very much for your fast reply and kind offer!
