Uninstalling the Shortcut

I have uninstalled Muzzled from my hard drive and now the shortcut on my desktop claims it is no longer in the same place as before and I must verify its new location to delete it.

That sounds like your computer has done something weird. I would suggest reinstalling the game and then trying to uninstall it again.
