Okay, now that I have your attention, why do people hate the new series? If you want the exact same experience as before, just play the original game again. And then there are people complaining that it's 3D...guess what? DOOM was 3D and it's a classic! 3D games are where it's at, even for point and click! Get over it!!!:mad:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a new game that lives up to the old one. Whether Narwhal did so is arguable, but your argument is faulty, as is your assumption that everyone hates this game. Just look at the quality poll. Most people voted "Good, could use some improvement", meaning that the majority of people aren't in the "It's horrible! They ruined everything!" group you seem to be placing them in.

Just let 'em rant. The new series suck ? Fine. They'll yell and leave. I think every new episode will attract its share of complains, but there should be less and less of those as the time goes by.

The console isn't what was good...it was the games. That's why the Virtual Console is a success! People want the classic games, not the NES console.

The trouble is the unhappy minority tend to be more vocal than the happy majority. But I'd imagine the forums will calm down in a few days or so.
