it seems that i have to melt the parrot to get pirates away but i don't know how pick up the hot coal

Done in the Universal Hint System style:

- You need to put them in a container to be able to carry them safely.

- Do you have anything like that in your inventory?

- If not, have you searched all of Spinner Cay carefully?

- What about the bait/repair shop?

- Did you try picking up the bucket?

Use bucket from bait shop on the coals!

Put coals in barbeque!

Melt parrot!

Use meltyness on mould!

Woo!

You can't get meltiness to mold while still hot, though! there is another step?
