There are no words.

Except "classic".

SubSidal 08/29/2009 07:29 am

OMFG!!! I'm..... I'm..... I can't..... I'm..... speechless.... I don't know whether I should laugh or cry.... How can the media be such idiots that everything is a cause for alarm?!?!? And even if they don't know MI how can they even think that's something else but a joke?! Next thing they're gonna ban Monkey Island because it tells kids to drink Kerosene... (sigh)

Miaharpy 08/29/2009 07:41 am

Hate to be that guy XD If I found something like that, I would look it up on google to see if it was real and end up finding out it's from a game XD

tim333 08/29/2009 07:58 am

I like how he took the "XD" emoticon as part of the name of the drink.

Mattoo 08/29/2009 07:59 am

The word Grog was not invented for Monkey Island I'm sorry to say. It's an old English nautical word for a mixed alcoholic drink. Check out Wikipedia for the full details.

"The word originally referred to a drink made with water or "small beer" (a weak beer) and rum, which was introduced into the Royal Navy by British Vice Admiral Edward Vernon (nicknamed "Old Grog" by the sailors) on 21 August 1740."

So sorry guys, but that use of the term is perfectly viable. Whether it's true or not that kids are drinking that stuff then that's a different matter.

That's funny, indeed.

But: Subtitle visibility FAIL

Ah, okay! I thought you guys were just laughing because of the name. Yeah okay, that is pretty stupid.

Lennie Melvin 08/29/2009 08:21 am

Thanks - that really cheered me up. Thank goodness for stupidity!

Now, who's for a grog?

Novotnus 08/29/2009 09:58 am

Shame on him for showing his face : )

Ignatius 08/29/2009 10:33 am

I love my country XD

Now the amazing here its not that he belived it was a true drink, but that he forgot about the SCUMM and pepperoni. Thats not pirate grog!
