Pawn Shop

I managed to find the pawn shop but..
How were we supposed to know to combine the ring with the receipt? Is it just a question of trying every combination or is there some logic to it?

I had to admit I tried everything with everything. And I think it's the ring with the postal card

Me too, to the two sentences.
But I think that the logic behind the combination of those two objects are that the pidgeons have both of them
