It's The 2010 Sort-Of-Halloween Arts and Crafts Contest
 

If you hadn't already heard, today marks the beginning of this year's arts and crafts contest!

All the details are on the blog HERE, but the basic gist of it is come up the the most creative stuff you can (poems, songs, sculptures, paintings, videos, whatever) and enter to win some pretty rad prizes from us at Telltale Games.

I know we already have a very gifted community so this should be a piece of cake! I am expecting great things from you guys!

Yes, you can enter as many times as you want (It's in the rules on the blog I liked to).

You can only win once though, so you cant win grand prize and a runner up prize! :)

Can we use an existent song and re-do it in our way? Kinda like a karaoke thing. Or that would be illegal?

Is it an actual parody, because if it is thats totally legal in the US.

I want to know this too, even though I have an awful voice, and just want to make lyrics.

So, are we allowed to make a costume or something and send in a picture?

Yes.

Are we allowed to send in something we already have that we made, or do we have to make something new? Reason being is I made a video and don't know whether can count that as an entry or not.

I suppose I can send in a poem about Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 4 to the Telltale Games Community, even if it doesn't have to rhyme, then. :)

Question: Is the $50 for Amazon only for music, or can we buy anything on the site?

Is taking a piece of art, from say, Sam & Max and adding parts of photos acceptable? Does the quality (how good the taking things from one photo to another) matter? I have some kinda good ideas.... Oh, well, at least I can have some fun!

Also, does it have to be Halloween themed? Or just have something to do with a Telltale Series?

I've started mine, it's a short comic strip involving Human!Sam Human!Max and a certain special friend of Adventure Games

Well, I've submitted my poem about Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 4 to the Telltale Games Community already via email today. Hope they are reading it now and giving me feedback. :)

I have the materials for mine, but I need to find suitable images of Sam and Max's heads to use as templates, then I need to get to work on them, and it would be best if I can do both carvings in one sitting, which may not be until Monday.

And no, it's not quite what you think.

I've submitted one entry, and am currently working on another. I hope I complete it before time runs out. I've had to work a lot more as a cover for those on holiday, leaving me with less free time. I should finish it though, we've got what? Another 10 or so days? It should be plently of time.
