Problem starting game (MAC)
 

Hi there,

bought the game on steam yesterday and it doesn´t work.

Everytime I press the start game button, the little BTTF icon appears on the dock and disappears in the next second, this is going on and on and on (the steam starting box does the same :-(

There is no solution out there, I own a MacBook pro, late 2008 with 9400m/9600m GPU and Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4Ghz

No difference when switching between German or English version, changing name (without the _´s), redownloading....

I really looked forward to this game, especially on Mac.

Would be really cool if anyone has a solution

This is a problem I experienced. I used a 3rd party application to extract the downloaded zip file and this broke the file permissions. Use the Finder to extract the zip instead and it should fix the problem.

But Steam does not download a zip file, does it ??

And when, where can i find that zip archive ??

There was a time where you weren´t able to play modern 1st person shooters like crysis.....now it´s the same with the adventure games arg...

Yes I can confirm I have the problem the thread started addressed.

I have a solution: Very simple.

Update your steam client.

If you bought the game via the telltale website you can download the zip file, no idea about via steam.

Game doesn't run on my Mac either. After clicking Play it closes itself without any message.

I played through episode 2, but now that I am ready to download 3 I get stuck. When I start the game I get to the logo screen, the birds starts chirping, when I click start game, it connects, the connection bar disappears, that's it. I am stuck there. Does anyone have any tips for this situation?
