A collection of classic adventure game ads

This is my first post here, so I should probably say "Hi" or something like that. ;)

Some time ago I've started working on an article (for Polish website - Adventurescope/Przygodoskop) about adventure game ads. Currently the second part is available on-line, so I think this is a good moment to share it with the English speaking part of the world. Yeah, I know. It's in Polish. But fortunately you don't need to understand the language to click through the ads. So, if you're interested in this kind of material, I hope you'll enjoy it anyway. :)

Part three should be available in the next couple of weeks... or months.

Makes me want to get out my old computer magazines, look at the ads, and reminisce.

And somehow I missed that there was ever a Leather Goddesses Of Phobos II, probably because it came out after Activision ate Infocom. Judging from the reviews, it doesn't look like I missed much. Cute ad, though.

It's funny that while the add for Leather Godesses of Phobos II is not the best, it makes me want to play that game. But, of course, on the other hand, the fact that it is connected with Steve Meretzky makes me want to play it even more. :)

Someone posted the ad for SMI a while back on here. It boasted about the amazing 3D graphics. Hope I can find it.

"complex conversations" must have been a real selling point.

If You're interested, part three of the article (from the first post) is now finished. You can find it RIGHT HERE.
