Can't do anything in the Ep. 1 Town Square

I go to doc in prison. I can't talk to him. I can't get into the soup kitchen. I go to the law office. Marty says he doesn't need that. Same with the courthouse.

How do I make young doc or old doc appear?

So, I can't interact with anything.
