Want to know what it really means?
The UNIX operating system (and variants) keep track of time as the number of seconds elapsed since midnight, January 1, 1970, in Greenwich Meridian Time. When you see December 31, 1969, it means they either most likely stored a -1 (negative one) in that slot (if they consider "-1" to mean the same as "invalid"), or a zero, and Telltale being in Pacific Time is behind GMT, so their zero is on that day. It's probably just a database hiccup returning a 0 or -1.
