Episode 6 - Hint Walkthrough
 
here it is again, my hint walkthrough for episode 6 (back by popular demand)

please note that the game is very open and you can be working on several puzzles at one time, but the key is figuring out which one you need to be working on....... with that said, lets get started

please note that the last few hints for any puzzle are a direct solution, and should only be read if you are hopelessly stuck or if you have already solved the puzzle...... direct solutions are marked with an *

max is also a good provider of cryptic clues

this walkthrough is aranged so that you only are solving one puzzle at a time, and so that you are only working in the puzzle that you should be working on at that time, if i have you pass up something intresting..... then it is for a reason, and you will be comming back later

Act One: To the Moon, Alice!
you begin your journey on the moon, get the feel for the place and walk around, there are 3 major puzzles here, but our goal right now to to find hugh bliss...... so we need to find his retreat

how do i get past superball...... again
talk to him..... he says, you need to be a level red prismatoligist

How do i become a level red prismatoligist
sam and max are far from peacefull, so they will never make it all the way to level red
you will need to trick superball...... and the unicorn
by talking to superball you alredy have the suspicion that the unicorn works like a mood ring (I.E. triggered by heat)
so to make it show "level red" it needs to be red hot
do you know of a heat source.......
max would say that that unicorn looks tasty
bosco has something ment to heat food, but it will suit our purpose just fine
* travel back to earth, and use the unicorn in the microwave *

feel free to look around while on the street....... but there is nothing to do here right now, once you have the unicorn showing "level red" go back to the moon and show it to superball

Act Two: Talismans make the man
ok, so now we are inside the place of all things bliss, have a look around and meet some old friends.......you will notice that all of them have a problem (in more ways than one) and we will need to help them before all this is over, but for right now...... the large elevator in the center of the room looks inviting

it seems that this large blast door is all that stand between you and hugh bliss (Actually, there is more than that)

How do i open that door
to open this door we will need something "Magical" well actually, we need a few magical items........

those talismans that everyone have downstairs will be a big help

first we need to see how the door is locked
meaning we need a way to see to the other side of the door, do any of the talismans sound like they will help
lets start with the the C.O.P.S. they have a talisman of sight......

how do i get the C.O.P.S. talisman
they are using it, and as long as they have a need for it...... they will not give it up
they are using it to help make a computer game, if you help them finish the game..... maybe they will be nice and give it to you
play the tic-tac-doom game and win...... the game is fun, but they still will not give up the talisman
this is because they still think the game is incomplete
as log as you can win the game..... they do not think it is finished
* set it up so the computer will win, then they will be happy, and give you the talisman for helping them test the game *
* a good general way to win is to take 3 of the corners, then use the fourth move to block yourself out of 3 in a row and force the game to win, otherwise the game will just end in a draw *

what do i do with the sight talisman
it lets you see through heavy lead objects
like blast doors
use that talisman on the door and see the compliced locking mechanism on the other side

ok, so the lock is not that complicated, but you still have no way of reching the "open" button
is there something already on the other side that can do the job for you
that bowling ball looks precariously pearched on that shelf
if only you could bend things with your mind
lets see if we can find something with that power
harry moleman has something that may be halpfull in his visitors center
he has a spoon bending talisman

how do i steal that talisman, he keeps catching me with it......
if only there was a way to sneak it past him
he is always watching, so it may not be possible for sam to sneak it past him
because he always pats sam down....... (he is the only one with pockets)
but you do not need pockets to steal something.....
* give the globe to max.... he will "hold on" to it for you, while you walk out the door *
now just ask max for the talisman after you are clear of the store

max swallwed the talisman, how do i get it out of him
there are 2 ways out of the stomach...... to bosco's (and have max go to the bathroom)
he must have a slow metabolism, it looks like we just need to make him cough it up
we need something to make him vomit
something "magical"...... like another talisman
abe lincoln has the vomiting talisman

ok, so how do i make lincoln vomit up the vomiting talisman
we need to make him sick..... and not in the cold/flu sence of the word
it seems that abe is having some girl trouble.....
who hasnt gotten sick thinking about their first date
offer to call sybil and help him hook up with her.....
the closer you get to secoring abe a date..... the sicker he gets
once she says yes....... he will go over the edge

but how do i know what to make abe say to sybil.....
if you go and talk to sybil you will get a feel for what she is into this month
* make sure that you only have abe mention things she is into, canada, foxes, etc..... *
once abe gets the yes from sybil, be will start getting worried and he will throw up (talisman included)........

what do i do with the vomiting talisman
do you know of anyone who has something we need them to cough (vomit) back up
use the talisman on max after he has swallowed the spoon bending talisman

how do i break the spoon bending talisman out of its globe
it is impervious to heat and blunt trama...... but how about something heavy and hot falling on it
do we know of something that is both heavy and generates a lot of heat (more than the microvave)
that lunar lander looks like it will do the trick...... but some dumbass astronaut locked the keys inside
AAA does not service the moon, so it look like we will have to open the door ourselves
anyone who grew up in the ghetto knows of something that can open a locked car door from the outside
for those of you who are not from the hood......a long rod with a hook on the end will do the trick
* long rod with a hook = coat hanger *
* if you played episode 1..... you should already know the location of a coathanger *
* there is one being used as an antena on the tv at the office *

ok i opened the door and got the key for the lander..... what now
use the lander to smash something
* place the globe under the thruster, and then use the key on the lander to start it up *

so i finally have the spoon bending talisman....... how do i use it to open the blast door
first we need to use the sight talisman on the blast door again to see the open button
remember that bowling ball.....
* use the spoon bending talisman on the shelf that the bowling ball is resting on *

Act Three: The Many Faces of Max

how do i get my little buddy back together again.....
you need to find the 3 parts that hugh removed from him...... his three "alter egos" are wandering around

how do i find them.....
look around, you are sure to run into them sooner or later
his 3 vices...... violence, slothfullness, and gluttney are not hard to find
red "viokent max" is in the main chamber near the roller coaster
blue "slothfull max" in on the surface of the moon
and green "gluttonous max" is in boscos store
we will take his violent doppelganger first.....

How do i defeat Violent Max
he will not let you near him with out shooting at you.....
maybe you do not need to get near him
you can have something else do your dirty work for you
amusment parks are usually safe places...... but not with sam and max at the controls
you can shoot the control box of the roller coaster while he is on it to start the ride
now, of we could make the ride more dengerous...... or fatal
ever been stabbed with a spork..... it hurts, doent it?
* use the spoon bending talisman on the giant spork that the hugh bliss statue is holding...... then shoot the control panel while violent max is standing on the ride *

How do i defeat Slothfull Max
he is nothing but dead weight...... it will take something much stronger than sam to move him
if you are exiting the retreat for the first time...... then you cant beat him right now

How do i beat Gluttonous Max
he really will eat anything
even you...... but you cannot do anything yourself
you need someone else to do your dirty work
how about jimmy, he seems eager and ready to help
but first, we need to get him off of that parking meter

talking to him is not working.....
there is someone on the moon who may be able to help
forget pulling rabbits out of a hat..... doing it with rats is more fun
talk to Philo Pennyworth..... he is trying a new trick, but he needs some help

he cant do his trick and pull jimmy out of the hat
well no wonder, you cant pull a parking meter AND a rat out of a hat at the same time (i've tried it before)
if only there was some way to fling him off of that meter like it was a giant catapult
ever fling cereal across the room with a spoon when you were little
that meter does look like a spoon..... i must be hungry cause everything looks like a spoon
* use the spoon bending talisman on the bent parking meter *

where did jimmy go......
someone on the moon might be able to find him (now that he is no longer holding onto that meter
philo can pull the rat out of his hat no matter where jimmy is
grossed out at what he just pulled out of the hat...... philo will give you the hat, and now you can grab jimmy anytime, anywhere

how does a magic hat help he beat Gluttonous max
remember that you can use it to grab jimmy..... no matter where he is
even if he is being digested in a stomach (see where this is going)
* pull jimmy out of the hat and feed him to gluttonous max....... then after he is swallowed, pull out the hat again and pull him out...... sam will grab both jimmy and max's stomach at the same time *

Back to Slothfull max......
you need something capble of moving more than just him......
something capable of moving the earth seems like enough overkill

Earth movers and shakers....
bosco has an earthquake machine, but his price is a little steep
sam and max are sure to have something valuable in the office
or something valuable in something thats in the office (say that ten times fast)
in sam and max..... even throwaway gags can fit into a main storyline
max says that lenard swallowed the deed to the united states
make him cough it up..... if you have been following this walkthrough, you should already have something you can use
* use the vomit talisman on lenard *
now go and give the deed to bosco

bosco will not take the deed..... what gives?
he will only take hard cash
perhaps you can sell the us to someone
how about another country
sybil is the queen of canada now, right?
up untill now will will not offer you more than a few hundered for the entire us, but after she has been blissified........ she is feeling much more genorous
you now have boscos money

how do i use the earthquake machine
you need to be in range of the satelite for it to work
the satelite is over the moon, fortunately...... we could use a moon shaking earthquake there
the "moon-quake" will help you reach one of your other goals
* it flips slothfull max over, you can now grab his tail without a fight *

with your little buddy patched back up....... we can kick some pasty white butt
head back to the inner sanctum to enter the final act

Act Four: The Greatest Show on the Moon
from hugh bliss to a world of people acting like max...... can this get any crazier, yep
you now have front row seats for sam's demise, and max is there to cheer you on (as always)

how do i escape......
you are in a magic show.... use some magic, a talisman perhaps?
look above you, another talisman........ it seems usefull
if only you could bend that spoon it is resting on.....
what? you can?....... this is news to me ;)
use the spoon bending talisman on the spoon the other talisman is perched on
do you know what it does, me neither....... use it and and find out
whats the worst it could do....... cause you and hugh to switch places, (oh wait, thats actually what it does)
just rinse and repeat for the other 3 deathtraps(use the magicians talisman to switch places with him)....... aparently he is just as invincible as you are

i keep switching places with him and we just keep going in circles...... how do i end this?
its the final episode, do you really want it to end?........ ok, if you insist
you cant kill hugh (for now), but you can sabotage the tricks

how do i sabotage the magic show
start with the lunar lander, can cannot do anything with it while you are in it....... but you can do damage to it while near one of the tricks next to it
the weakest part of it seems to be the landing gear
* use the saw on the landing gear while hugh bliss is in the saw box *

i took out the lunar rover...... now what
it may have collapsed, but it still may have a use
how do you kill bacteria.....
with heat, and lots of it
fire the ignition of the lunar lander while hugh bliss is in the water tank....... he will be boiled alive

Sobs loudly, alas my friends....... this is the end of season one, i hope you all had as much fun as i did

i may add a few play it again monents after the episode has gone worldwide

Ok here are some play it again moments that i have found

Did you....

wait untill after visiting the blister of tranquility before asking harry "what is there to see on the moon?"

repeatedly click on.....the gift shop merchendise, the moon bulletin board, the mechanical suit, the master plan poster, and the hypnotic goggle display

try to stick the spoon talisman display case on the hypnotic goggle display

repeatedly get caught with the display case

find the snow globes in the visitor center

try to put the spoon bending talisman back on the display after you have removed it from the display case

try to show the unicorn to superball before you get it to turn red

try to get everyone to rub the unicorn...... max, harry moleman, bosco, sybil, jimmy, the cops, philo pennyworth, lincoln, and hugh bliss (while he is in the crystal, and again during the end sequence)

try to stick the unicorn in the microwave for a second time, try to put it in the cooler, and have sam rub it before and after it turns red

choose all of the wrong pick-up lines for abe while talking to sybil on the phone

repeatedly win at tic tac doom (and lose a buch of times as well)

try to put one of the talismans in the microwave

repeatedly shoot around boscos store (and shoot around some more after he has been blissified)

try to shoot sybil

try to use the spoon bending talisman, and the coat hanger on the gumball machine

use the lead vision talisman on the hot dog machine, and on the cops

repeatedly use the gasto-kenisis talisman on max, and try to use it on lenard a second time

also use the gasto-kenisis talisman on sybil, her stuffed fox, and on hugh bliss (while he is in the crystal, and again during the end sequence)

try to feed the deed to the us back to lenard, and try to shoot him again

show the deed to the us to lincoln while he is still in the blister of tranquility

try talking to lincoln after his call to sybil while he is still in the blister (and repeatedly talk to him while he is at sybils)

repeatedly talk to pennyworth after getting the hat from him, and repeatedly click on the huts behind him

while using the lead vision talisman on the imtimidating door...... try to walk through it, and repeatedly look at the bowling ball

look out the office window after the hypnobeam has hit earth, and repeatedly shoot out of the window afterward as well

ask all of the boscos questions again after he thinks he is hugh bliss..... even the "do you have any....." one

ask all of max's questions again, after he has been blissed out

try to throw jimmy out the window, and try to put him in his rathole

try to put jimmy back on the meter, in the dumpster, and try to put him in the microwave or the freezer in boscos

try to give the 100 trillion back to sybil or try to give it to max

try to stuff the 100 trillion in the rat hole, or throw it out the window

repeatedly try talking to max's vices..... repeatily try to shoot violent max, and use the gasto-kenisis talisman on gulttonous max when no one is in his stomach

repeatedly try talking to superball and harry while slothfull max is on the moon

get eaten by gluttonous max (twice) and get eaten again while jimmy is already in his stomach (twice)

look at the flag on the moon again after selling the us to canada, look at the earth after the hypnobeam has gone off (and yet again after you have put max back together), and look at the satellite after it has crashed

repeatedly use the public adress microphone in hugh bliss's inner sanctum

try to use the earthquake machine a second time...... and once again during the final scene

try to shoot hugh bliss while he is in the crystal, or cut his head off during the final act
