Game save lost? (PS3)
 

So I have episode 1 & 2 from PS+ and I got hooked. I finished both in a week. Only one save slot and I go back to it to rewind the last chapter in episode 2 but to my surprise all the saved data was deleted and I am prompted to start over from episode 1/chapter 1. WTH?

I have all the trophies at 40% and I have the saved data utility too but I guess the game can't read it? Any ideas? I tried copying/deleting/copying the saved data utility to see if I could restore my progress but the game doesn't have an option to copy to a USB only to PS+ cloud...

Happened to me so much that I feel like a zombie replaying the same episodes every time a new episode's released. Was that Telltale's intention? It happened on 3rd save slot at start of Episode 2 until they released a patch to fix it. So far so good then, until Episode 3 came out and the same thing happened again when I started Episode 3 on the 3rd save slot!!! Save Data Corruption. All memory wiped.

I feel like a jack-ass for buying the season pass and have to be replaying all the episodes with each new release. It's a waste of time. The only way to avoid it so far is to only use the first 2 save slots until Telltale admits there's a problem, and are willing to do something to appease those affected by this. Not likely though of course. I should be refunded my money, or be able to receive a free copy of the game on another platform.

I feel ya. But in my case I have only used one save slot.

Anyone tried deleting and reinstalling the game? Worth a shot I guess...

Also is the walking dead saved data utility locked?

I think this happened when my PS+ expired. So that's the reason?

Yep. If you didn't pay for a game and you got it for free on PS+, you can only play it WHEN you have PS+.

If you buy games at a discount with PS+ though you keep the game, it's just games that are free that you can't play unless you still have PS+.

Anyways, PS+ users don't get Episode 3 so you might want to consider buying the season pass :D
