Lilly as protagonist for season 2
So Lilly is either abandoned or takes the RV. If she is never to be seen again in the last 2 episodes, could she in fact be the protagonist for season 2? We presume her to be dead, but than again maybe not.

i don't like her already, so that would be a bad start to a season

Than again our current protagonist is a murder as well /shrug. |

I want this but I don't at the same time.

Too many people hate her for what she did, so...
Not as the protagonist but I'd be interested in a season 2 cameo to see what's happened to her and how events an her actions have affected her(and if she's the same Lilly as the comics). Realistically,I believe that Telltale is done with Lilly's story and she wont appear ever again. I think Telltale will finish Clem's story this season but may(I'm hoping) continue with Lee's. |
may be, but would have the option of suicide right at the beginning?
|
Lol oh i'm sure everyone will find every way that Lilly can die in the game.

Lilly's awesome, but she's not a character I'd want to play as. She's too much of a defined personality and knowing her as the hard-ass, slightly crazy, survivor that she is, the choices we would be able to make wouldn't be as open as what we have with Lee.
I do hope she cameos again at some point though, however unlikely that may be. |
Lilly wouldn't be a good player character because we already know her and what she's like. The reason Lee is so good is because we get to define his personality right from the get-go, plus his bitchin' backstory as a history teacher.
|
I can't stand Lilly's face most of the time, honestly. It has nothing to do with what she has done. She just makes ugly faces. She ends up looking like her dad, which is gross. I wouldn't want to look at that for 10-15 hours while playing season 2.

Whatever happens in Season 2, I fully expect Woodbury to feature and that in turn will mean this won't be the last time we see her.

Meh, I don't really care for her, she went too far off the deep end for my tastes in Episode 3.
|
Not as a protagonist, but she'd be one of the people who I'd look forward to seeing in season 2. Especially after what happened at the prison.

Season 2 featuring Woodbury, Lilly, The Governor and Rick's group as antagonists (the prison bandits) would be totally sick :):)
However, Lilly can't be a protagonist. Her personality is too well-defined and it has to stay a constant. It can't change into a player dependant character. Still it would be pretty interesting to see if people would treat her bad, judging on their previous experience with her, although their new character wouldn't have any reason to do so. Could be pulled off I believe, however, putting integral characters like the Governor and Rick.... highly unlikely because they'll have a plot armor. Nevertheless, a short cameo or just mentioning them will make me as the youtuber Tobuscus say "Nerd all over the floor" :D:p |
i dont think so
I dont think so because Kirkman already invested in a book about Lilly before and during woodbury. I don't think he'll want anything to contradict her story. Especially considering how VERY important she is in the walking dead universe.

Lilly is the protagonist of the new Walking dead novel that comes out next week. Different universe (her father died protecting her from zombies), and it also details the beginning of Woodbury.
I doubt that telltale would tell that story again |
It would be an interesting twist. I could see how Carley players would feel horrible playing as her, but I chose Doug, and his murder seemed more...natural, in terms of a conflict and narratively, and yes I left her and was very saddened.
The killing of Carley was shockingly bizarre, sloppy, out of character and shoddy penmanship. No one just out right murders someone for no reason, and no gain. Even Shane killed with a purpose. The murder of Carley was one of the most juvenile forms of writing displayed in a cinematic or digital age simply from a story stand point. I don't know how anyone who chose Carley could call their Episode 1 a comprehensive experience. In my mind Carley was such a poorly implemented character in the structure of the game that even her death had to be forced and untidy. So yes I would be very up to playing as Lily in episode 2. |
I would love to see her again, aside from Mark's death, Lilly's departure hurt me more then any of the deaths yet. What they could do is ask Kirkman if they can expand on what happened to Lilly and the Woodbury folk after fleeing inside the prison since he kinda just left that plot point behind. We could spend an episode at the prison trying to find a way out and meeting new people from the town, another episode at Woodbury which soon falls without the Governor there, etc. Lots of cool ways they could do it and have it seem more involved with the comic then this season did with only a couple cameos.
