Which scene was unnecessary from all episodes?

I think the most unnecessary scene was the zombie shooting upstairs(episode 5) of the mansion when it got invaded. I mean they could've just pulled the attic ladder down and quickly go up instead of wasting all those ammos >.<

What do you guys think?

DreadMagus 11/25/2012 07:50 pm

Larry demonstrating his charm.

Bringing water and crackers to Duck

It's not like anyone ever mentioned it afterwards

I thought the same thing. I even wiggled my mouse around to see if the group could open the attic earlier. >_>

bl4ckrider 11/25/2012 09:52 pm

I thought the attic thing was lame as well. I was yelling at my monitor: "Climb into the attic!"

But I guess emptying your guns means less weight to carry. That might have been the purpose to make all those jumps later.

That's exactly what I did xD

It was epic at least. Can you imagine how useful it would have been if Lee had all those bullets when they had to deal with that security officer? I mean Clem could have just shot the walker, shot Lee, then been on her way instead of having to almost die by that walker. Or better yet, you bring the meat cleaver. Maybe Lee did and it's in his back pocket and he just forget about it 'cause his brains dying?

Good grief, what a tangent.

Finding a way to turn on the train was really annoyingly boring and long. Most scenes I'm totally fine with though.

I think it was. In one play though Kenny told me that I took care of Duck. All I had done was give him food (both times I believe). This was when I wasn't friends with Kenny but it was his reason to tag along to save Clemetine.

I second the scene under the attic. They should've barricaded then went right up. It's much safer then trying to fight the walkers off.

Pushing the dumpster out of the way in Episode 4, when you are in the alleyway. Could have jumped over it to save time and slowed the walkers down.

How about giving tactical orders to everyone only for Lee to say "EVERYONE, UPSTAIRS!" less than 30 seconds later.

This! On my second playthrough I tried to save Larry AND saved Ben, so I thought Kenny would not come with me... but he did because of me taking care of his family. I feel like those animal crackers were thrown into the game to give us kind-hearted souls the extra shove (;

The repeated clicking when you buried the attic kid. When Lee put the kid in the ground the scene should have immediately cut to the part with Clem and Christa, and then show Lee putting more dirt on the kid and then campan ect. The whole scene was slow, wasn't emotional for me and it made me not want to replay the ep again cause the scene was so slow paced

I agree. They mentioned in somewhere that originally that scene was even longer, involving even more clicks. They said they toned it down to less clicks but I still think it was needlessly depressing. However it does lead to one of the game's better jump scares..

Regarding the hallway shooting thing, i think the last thing they wanted to do was go in the attic. They knew there was only one entrance, and Lee states that they do not want to get trapped. Shooting the walkers until they have an opening to flee the mansion was a better plan than trapping themselves in a room with no way out(that they knew of).

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but i saw nothing wrong with that scene.

I didnt say there was anything wrong with it, I just thought it was unnecessary to have us kill all of those walkers knowing we'll end up in the attic anyway ^^. But yeah, I know they never wanted to be trapped because they didnt want the Larry situation to happen again.

I think they had to do this scene though, because he wouldnt have able to meet Vernon's group and find out what happened to Chuck :/

Agreed

"Last night I heard your friend Doug laying in bed just naming types of pie."
*suddenly, biscuits "Holy moly!" *nomnomnom
"Lift with your back Shawn!"

Completely unnecessary, but that doesn't mean useless.

The entire Macon supply run in Episode 3, very pointless other than to set up Lilly's little quest for you.
