What if Clem made a sudden appearance in either the comics or the show

a little older of course to fit the timeline.

And then season 2 started with a new group and never comes back to clem again? All the fallout from season 1 would eventually be answered by clem telling rick's group what happened to her and how she survived for so long.

As hard as that would be to pull off without creating any plotholes and such, do you think this would be the best way to add some closure to her story?

Robbingrobin 12/05/2012 01:48 am

Clem in the comics? Yes, please.
Clem in the show? No, please not.

QuarterPounderVlad 12/05/2012 03:20 am

..Nah, I'd like her to be Video game exclusive. Having her in the show or the comics would be just weird...

Zeruis 12/05/2012 03:51 am

Nope, nope, and nope. Video game exclusive is great.

Arbitrator 12/05/2012 09:08 am

I hope not. Video game and canon stories should remain separate.

They exist in the same canon, but i agree. Their paths should be individual and not cross with each other.

I'd honestly hate Clementine appearing on the Comic books, but it would be interessting to see the storylines connect somehow. Right now Shawn, Lilly and the Police officer at the beginning of the game are our only connections with the Comics; Lilly isn't as "cannonish" because of Road to Woodbury, and the Police officer isn't really a big deal.

Robbingrobin 12/05/2012 10:20 am

The police officer at the beginning? How? And its not proven that Lilly Caul and Lilly from the games are the same, though.

There's also Glenn, of course.

Are you referring to the cop who drives you to Hershel's farm if you elect to wait until night to leave(Andre Mitchell?)?

Since the original trophy for the chapter where Lilly departs used to be called "Woodbury Bound(might be slightly incorrect)", i think it's safe to assume she was originally intended to be the same Lilly.

The police in the beginning of the game drove Thomas Richards, a guy from the comics, to the prison. He was the one yelling "Mama! It was all a big mistake!" Plus, I think it's safe to assume that he knew Rick.

Robbingrobin 12/05/2012 01:32 pm

I do not think so, since Rick was not a Cop from Atlanta.

And, yes. But Thomas did not made a apperance in the game, did he? It was just a story. All people should know thats the same canon.

The police officer at the very beginning of the game (By the way, I just lost the game... damn).
(Comic book spoilers) He's the one who drove the crazy headcutting guy who killed Hershel's twin daughters to the prison where Rick and his group stayed. Also, if i were fast enough, i would have realized HiggsBoson already answered this... Why does this always happen, lol.

OP: Do not want.

I actually meant to type comic instead of canon, but yeah.

It's sort of difficult to find a source since it got changed, but here's what i found with a short search.

Link

That's what it seems to have originally looked like, and you can see discussions about it as well(just search "walking dead woodbury bound trophy" and you'll find a few results).

Anyway... I would be really disappointed if they dropped Clem from the game in favor of a transition to the comics. If it would be current timeline, would we miss two entire years of her surviving by herself? It just isn't a good idea in any way in my opinion.

marcu5 12/07/2012 06:55 pm

just let twd have seperate storylines in the same universe. the show isnt LOST, everyone doesnt need to meet eachother

ZacTB 12/07/2012 07:15 pm

This is actually a really good idea. Not really up to date with the comics at the moment but I understand they are in or around the Alexandria Safe zone, I think. There are many ways they could bring her in. Maybe they could even bring in Christa and her baby alongside Clementine (and Omid, unless he died before this which is more likely than Christa I think).

It would confirm that the comic and game are in the same universe and will benefit Robert Kirkman by having great characters in his comic. But I don't think they should do this in the TV show until they have done so in the comics. I really hope Season 2 is about a different group but at least confirms that Clementine is with Christa and Omid in the countryside.
